Some thoughts to ponder as we face another year of His Grace:

1. Yesterday is history. It is not to be dismissed or forgotten or overly grieved, but learned from, gleaned from. The things that need to be grieved, let them be respectfully grieved and then we cut our losses and move on. The lessons we learn from success and failures should be treasured. God is the Lord of darkness as well as light, He has ordained our paths for our good. Let us trust Him to correct the wrongs and teach us His ways in all times and move on. We dare not try to camp in the ashes of yesterdays burnings. There is a bright year beckoning.

2. Tomorrow is yet a mystery. We can not play amateur providences in our own lives or the lives of others, we dare not play at fortune telling, nor delve into areas of the prophetic not yet given to us - but we can intercede for God's best will to be done, and act on all that we do hear from His Spirit! We can put our hand, our lives and our future confidently into His Loving care, knowing that He will safely bring us to our desired haven! Trust brings Faith, and faith brings courage. Courage opens wide the door to adventure!

3. Today is a gift of His grace to us. Will we gratefully use it for His glory, or waste it on our whims? Is it really about us, or is it really about Him? The faster we determine this and correct what is out of line, the sooner we will be able to repent and get back on the right path!

As we step over into another beginning, it is a good time to ponder how much closer we are to being the "Bride" He is coming back for! Have we been participating in the purification process, or steadfastly avoiding it? Are we working toward His Kingdom or stubbornly making our own little kingdom where flesh reigns supreme? Have we grown closer to Him or farther away? Are we operating in His Anointing yet? The One that moves burdens and destroys yokes? Or are we still tolerating the bullying of the enemy? Are we on the Offensive or still playing a defensive role? It is time that we rose up, a mighty army, and spent our days chasing the enemies of God and not running from them!

For 2013, I personally resolve, with the help of My Faithful Almighty God, to spend no time in fear of what the enemy may be planning for us! But to spend the time profitably, hearing what God is planning for us, and cooperating with that plan! I want the realms of hell and earth to tremble and the realm of heaven to rejoice when I wake up! I want the devil worried about what I am up to, not me worried about what he may be up to! I want God to be pleased with the way I spend my time, what my mind is occupied with and what my being is focused on!

I am finished worrying about the opinions of those who are no more in Authority than I am! It is time we acted like "ONE NATION UNDER GOD!", and made that "motto" a blessed reality. This year I plan to succeed at that personally - as for me and my house we WILL serve the LORD!

I resolve to bow to no Authority but God's, and to submit to no one who is not led by that Authority. Those leading by manipulation and control need not apply! So to those who think you are in charge I say to you, lead, follow or just get out of my way! This year, by His Grace, I am going through! "Not by might, nor by Power, but by MY Spirit", says the Lord! And I, His devoted servant, says - "Amen!" As I attune myself to You, I'm confidently going through! As You design my life and days, I set myself to learn Your Ways! As You display Your might in me, then I will bring You victory! And as another year rolls past, I'm walking in Your Peace at last! Thank You Father for another good year! Going and coming! Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven! Amen!
