The Great Re-Do!

Part Two: Removing the Strongholds/Contradictions which Block our Faith)

This is a continuation of yesterday's writing – in which I am exploring the journey to Freedom in the Anointed One, through the process of Transformation! (by renewing our minds with the Word, which destroys hindrances)

But, this work of transformation can get grueling sometimes. We tend to get all warm and fuzzy when we think about the end results – Freedom, Holiness, etc.. I mean, seriously, the idea that we can get back the same kind of communion with God which Adam had, and which Yeshua walks in even now is a thrilling concept! That we humans could ever experience His Good apart from the bad which surrounds us! That we mere mortals can experience His Peace in the middle of all these increasingly horrific social storms! Or find His Holiness in the midst of this season of great profanity and perversion! It is actually sort of mind boggling to the unredeemed, unrestored human thought patterns - but it is within our reach nonetheless, because of the Atoning work of Yeshua, our redeemer – who came to radically alter those!

But what we don't want to really dwell on much is the process of transformation, and what it will mean to our self-ordered existences! After all we humans don't really love change all that much – in fact, we tend to resist it, even if it is for the better! But this tendency makes sense when we stop to consider that the only transformation process with which we are familiar in our physical realm is the butterfly! We marvel at is beauty, of course, and stand in awe at the great difference between its former caterpillar state as compared to its winged glory! But we don't really want to ponder theunpleasant in-between stages. Not really.

Think about it! First it must be completely encased in a suffocating cocoon! Perhaps it is made of “breathable” materials? One can hope! But it looks entirely suffocational to me! And then it, the caterpillar, completely melts down! Seriously! It decomposes into a liquid goo, and is then, finally, restructured into the beautiful creature which it becomes! But if the process is interrupted it just dies. Someone once wrote that they observed a butterfly struggling to break loose of its cocoon, and thought they could help it by cutting the cocoon for it! But instead of helping the butterfly, they crippled it. It turns out that the butterfly needed that resistance to develop its wings to full strength! The end result was that it struggled for a bit and then died.

But that is so like us prideful ridiculous humans to think that we can improve on God's methods, or that we are somehow more compassionate than He is! NOT! It would seem that the butterfly is better off, for all its suffering through that horrific sounding process - though they really have no say in the matter, this is just the life of every butterfly from worm to wings. But we do have a choice, and we are instructed to choose life – and the process of spiritual transformation!

LIFE is obtained through difficult transformation. Like the butterfly, we must be transformed from the worm-like lower nature, the fallen nature, that is selfish, rebellious, petty, and really quite stupid in its decision making – all of which renders it VERY limited – to this realm, or plane of existence. And we must be transformed – again – back into the very image and Character of Almighty God! We then, by His grace and help, become spirit-people, no longer bound by this realm! Possibilities and Impossibilities are opened up to us, and our freedom is exponentially expanded! The universe, and its God, are at our disposal, and all we have to do is learn to live a life of Faith! Which is the new “matter” with which we are now free to build and create – as He does. But, lest I weary my good readers, I will continue tomorrow on how this process works in us.

Shalom Chavarim! L'Chaim!
