The Best Tale of All Time ~ Part Seven; It Was The Light!

The Creation of Our World, Its Tumble Into Darkness, and Its Redemption Into Light!

(7 ~ In Which The Earth-Folk Get Another Chance to Choose Life!)

We are not told how they passed that next day. But I imagine they spent it very quietly. There seemed to be little to celebrate, and best to lay low. But at the first light of dawn on the third day, some of His loyal followers went to the tomb to mourn, some needing to be as close to Him as possible, some, still in shock, wanting to be sure that they had not imagined the whole thing, some went to be sue that His detractors had done nothing worse to His remains – such was their hatred of Him! But some went dutifully to complete the burial process, they had had so little time to prepare Him that awful day, and they feared He had not been properly embalmed! But when they got there, the guards were dazed and confused, apparently having just regained their consciousness from being knocked out by an unseen force, and the huge stone, which had taken a garison to set in place, had been moved and His body was not inside!

One of His most loyal followers, a woman, who had been delivered from the torments of demonic possession and a life of ill-repute under His ministry, tearfully asked a man, whom she presumed to be the gardener, if he knew where He'd been taken. But when He answered her, even through her overwrought emotions, she recognized that voice! It was the God-man Himself! Somehow, by some means which she could not grasp, the same body which she had helped hastily wrap, for which she had now brought expensive spices to preserve, was standing before her, saying her name in the same gentle manner which she had grown to love! He told her to go and tell the rest of His disciples that He had kept His Word, and had indeed arisen, just as He had told them He would! He told her to share the Good-News for the first time, to go and tell His beloved friends that the Plan was working!

He did not share with her at that time the adventure from which He had just come, during the short time in which His body had to stay in that tomb! A tomb which His friends had borrowed from a wealthy follower, and which He now happily returned to him for his own use, when that time came. Imagine the honor of being buried in the same tomb which your LORD's earthly body had rested in for three days and nights! But at some point, He must have recounted those adventures to one of His closest Earth-Folk, because it is recorded that He spent that brief but productive time taking back mankind's authority from the enemy - in his own turf! What a show that must have been for the first Earth-Folk who were devoted to the Creator-God! Abraham, Moses the original Law-Keeper, and all the others, who were then released from the lower realms, into the heavenlies, to rejoin the Creator-God again. I imagine that Adam was both thrilled and humbled, at what had been done on his behalf, and all the Earth-Folk who followed him! What rejoicing in Creator-God's realm for the astounding Victory! The Anointed Earth-Man/God-Man had done it! He had conquered evil and its horrible curses! He'd won! And now He was standing near a garden tomb, smiling at His astounded devotee!

He spent a few short days on the earth, saying a temporary fare-well to His faithful ones, promising to return for them again in due season, giving them His last will and testament in person, and promising them a gift upon His going....the Spirit of Creator-God! We Earth-Folk could once again have access to the character of Almighty Creator-God, and be able to come into His Holy Presence again without fear! We belong again! We could rule again! He had accomplished what He came to do!

In the most bizarre Plan ever conceived – mankind was restored to a position of authority and relationship with Creator-God, that we hadn't had for thousands of years! We could have His Nature, and we could live forever! The only downside was that we had to pursue our Creator-God in the midst of the Earth-Folk who prefer to keep the evil! We had to learn love, in the presence of sin but not give in to it! We had to now deal with the conflict which comes with living with those who would side with the rebellion! But, we at least - at last, - had been given back the chance, the authority, the power, to make that choice! And we had His Spirit to help us in that battle! And now, for the first time since the fall, Creator-God was on our side, or rather, (I should say that) we were made able to get back on HIS side! Now we could rest in Him, now we could become His sons and daughters again, just like the God-Man had taught us! But would we?
