The prophets have historically been slaughtered in the name of enlightenment! That is the same as accusing the candle of the darkness to justify snuffing it out! But, of course, it is because they inevitably come to cover the flesh's happily irresponsible parades, with threatening heavy clouds of weighty spiritual responsibility!
They constantly shed light on things that most want to keep hidden! They are constantly opening the closets where we have buried our dead works, and hidden our shame, and are incessantly lifting the rugs to expose the dirt we just swept under there! Annoying fellows the lot of them!
But ultimately their job is always the same - to expose and delineate the real choice that is before mankind! The same choice that Adam had to make in the Garden - the same choice that the Pharisees had to make when confronted with Yeshua - the very same choice that God thundered to His people at Sinai -
LIFE or DEATH.
But how or why would we expect the worldly ones whom we love to judge to make the correct choice when we ourselves are only playing at it? Why would we expect them to love and revere Him, while we ignore and refute what He says by our own choices - which are evidenced by our lives!?
I know that I tend to say much of the same thing over and over. I realize that I am becoming redundant. However, I am attempting to be a servant of the MOST HIGH - and to write His bidding and not my own - so as a secretary I must simply take down what is dictated! So if I am hearing correctly, the Spirit of God is obviously trying to get through to His children! That is what His Mercy looks like! And so, as I say to my children, so says the Lord to His -
"When the lesson is learned and properly implemented the reminders will cease!"
Having given that disclaimer, I need to now say some hard things, because I am hearing from the Ruach this morning that there are several issues among His People which are displeasing to the LORD - for which He suggests our complete and immediate repentance!
One issue is that we have not used our right to choose to choose wisely! We have, like the prodigal son in Yeshua's parable, squandered that spiritual inheritance on fleshly living! We have, individually and collectively, been "Sowing to the flesh and reaping corruption"! And that is true on almost every level - from what we choose to read/watch/listen to which determines what we think about, to what we eat or digest or "feed ourselves with" - mentally, physically and spiritually, and how those choices come to light in the way we treat ourselves and others.... oy!
I am hearing that our Worship is incomplete! That we sing anthems of praise to Him, not because we really esteem Him that highly, but because it makes us feel better about ourselves to do so!
I am hearing that we run to His Word to prove our own points, rather than to discover His! And that we preach error and sustain confusion!
That we unwittingly spread strife, because we have not chosen the Way of Peace - and that we enter too easily into offense and hatred, because we have not chosen the Way of Love!
He seems to be saying that we call Him "Father, and LORD" but then do not obey what He says - and so we are strangers to Him, but still somehow believe that He should take responsibility for our well-being!
I am hearing that this has all become evident in the way that our society is crumbling at our feet, and threatening to consume us in its wake of utter destruction!
The fingers are all pointed at us - the "professing believers" right now, because we were the ones to whom He has entrusted His Anointing and Authority! We are the ones to whom He has entrusted the right and power of Forgiveness, and yet we withhold it from the ones who need it most! We are the ones to whom He has entrusted His Love, and yet the world spirals down in a flurry of venomous hatred! It IS our responsibility!
What the world needs now may be "Love, sweet Love", but until His Church wakes up and makes Teshuvah back to His Word that commodity will continue to be scarce and ineffective! This is a wake up call.
He calls to us like the fellow in the Verizon commercial - "Can you hear me now?!"
But He is still waiting for our response, so He can then smile and say, "Good!"
