Again, I am writing in response to a Devotional entry, which is included in posting on Face Book, my favorite, "My Utmost for His Highest". Today's devotional began with an extraordinary promise, "In that day you will ask in my Name ... because the Father Himself loves you." Then Brother Chambers goes on to explain in his wonderful way, that His name is representative of His nature, so it is as we take on His nature that we begin to truly pray in His Name!

Well this would explain the many prayers which I have prayed, and the even more that I have heard, which it seemed that the Father utterly ignored! lol His character was not always present in many of those prayers! His name was tacked on the end, but it was not prayed, "In His Name", not in THAT sense of the word!

It is an interesting condition to receiving answers. But one that makes a great deal of sense. As His Blood was prerequisite to connection with God, then logically His Character is prerequisite to maintaining that vital connection! This is why He sent His Spirit, to bring power from on high - His Spirit being the facilitator of the development of that Character in us, the conduit of the power that transforms us to His image/nature as we obey His written instructions.

We live in such a formula hungry world. Virtually everything is broken down into formulas. But try as we may, we will never be able to replace this divine relationship with a religious formula and get the results our hearts long for! We must simply "Abide". Yeshua used simple analogies to get this point across in His teachings - "except the branches be connected to the vine..." - and other such examples of the natural flow of life as His Father created it.

Religion is much like Genetically Modified Organisms - the fruit looks similar, tastes similar, but it can not produce the LIFE of the original design. Religion is the GMO of the spiritual world! It may well churn out larger quantities, more massive volumes of "fruit". It successfully amasses large numbers of people who talk right, walk right and dress right - but who are missing something intrinsically vital in their connection with God everyday! And the state of the world reflects that loss! There is a hollowness, an emptiness, an inexplicable, untouchable pain, that echoes through it all. There are still many more questions than answers! Why?

I think in his own simple, direct and eloquent way Brother Chambers has hit on the crux of this matter, and it is that we must be praying from a heart that has been transformed by His Nature and transfixed by His wonderful Love! Such prayers elicit eager answers from a heavenly Father who responds to His nature in His children. And why not? He has willingly paid the huge ransom price to buy us back from His sworn enemy! Why then, as Yeshua asked, would He not also give us the Kingdom!? He wants to. But we earn the right to walk in Authority by first walking in the obedience that produces the Character of His first born, who He gave as an example for us to follow. But to follow, to that extent, we must know. And to know, we must commune, and to commune, we must seek Him out and spend time in His presence. And herein is the rub. That will cost us something, because the world is just not oriented to spend time with the unseen. You are considered spacy or something! lol A Radical!

But if we want real answers, from a real God, then sooner or later we will have to get real. Its the only way. Really.

Selah.
