(A Tale of Redemption)
So old, so soon, saved by His Grace. God loved, and Blessed, this gentle face;
Sustained her in the Chasm Deep, was by her, when her soul would weep.
He brought her through the darkest nights, dispelling darkness with His light.
Eyes shining, full, with purpose deep, though hiding pain, and lack of sleep;
Such hope and love, that can't explain, the lack of love, or present pain;
Childhood and innocence, both removed, yet living in eternal love!
Abuse not dulling sparks of life, spirit overcoming strife,
separating life from pain, choosing hope, to live again.
Abuse forgiven, pain aside, through dissociation, Joy abides.
Though innocence gone, from those piercing eyes, reflecting now the inner cries;
the depth of pain, the awful cost, of a child abused, a childhood lost;
lost to wretched lust, and greed, which would crush a soul to fill a “need”.
Lust rips and tears a child apart, afflicting body, soul and heart;
deception deep, so foul, obtuse, to justify such raw abuse.
How does one justify, as need, that which produces such a cry?
Thank God for His great power to save such victims from an early grave;
to bring light into this darkened soul, His redeeming love, that's made me whole!
Restoring Joy, Replacing pain, enabling me to live again.
God had a purpose, a design, He uses pressure to refine;
He will use pain, He'll use abuse, no tragedy escapes His use!
He holds the painful, wounded soul, until reforged, they are made whole!
He keeps the light on in the eyes, of even those who are despised,
if they'll hold tight His loving hand, if they'll always heed His true command!
if they believe against all odds, one day those warriors will be like God!
One day His image they'll behold, and reflect it like the finest gold!
Just like He did for this little girl, when His loving grace redeemed my world,
until at last my soul's set free, to live and love eternally.
