A Toast to Sukkot!

In the middle of the week, as we're wrapping up our voting,

There's a Rest which we can seek,as we cease the verbal smoting.

We can find a sweet relief, we can find a quiet glory,

as we break from all the grief, and become part of God's story.

Tabernacling in His presence, in our little outdoor dwellings,

soaking in His lovely essence, loving, sharing... how compelling!

All of God's appointed seasons, all His Feasts a holy function,

do we really need a reason, to fulfill His loving unction?

Serving as a sort of blue-print of just what He has in store,

His Feasts leave a Holy imprint, indicating so much more!

So as we seek to do His will, in this sacrifice of love,

Blessings pour into our hearts, with the light from stars above.

Chag Sameach Ha Sukkot! Greeting friends and loved ones dear,

cherishing the memories sweet, that we make from year to year.

Eating, drinking, laughing, loving, in our Sukkah 'neath the sky,

anticipating His soon coming, full hearts breathe a happy sigh....
